Collet Spindles

Colombo collet spindles include a collet chuck at one or both ends of the spindle shaft.

  • A locking nut and spring collet are used to secure the cutting tool(s) in place. Tool changes typically require a set of wrenches and a few minutes of your time.
  • The most popular collet type is ER but designs exist for others as well. Keyed shafts according to your specifications are also a possibility.
  • Power ratings range from 0.3 HP (0.2 kW) to 18 HP (13.5 kW) with speeds up to 60,000 RPM. Bearings are permanently sealed and greased so maintenance is minimal

The most popular collet spindles are shown under their respective cooling method below but there are plenty of other models available. If you don’t see what you need please use the contact form to learn more.
